I have literally just binged the whole series for the first time. What an exceptional slice of western-neo-noir! It's now got me wanting to go back and re-watch Thunderheart, with Val Kilmer.
It's been over 12 years since I've read SCALPED and #18, page 16, is still the ONLY page in comic book history to make me cry. Sad and horrific. Gorgeous and splenetic.
Aw cheers. Only comics I've worked on that have made me get choked up myself: SCALPED, THE DEATH OF THE MIGHTY THOR and the outline for the new series I'm gonna start writing next week.
For a second I thought it was a Scalped reboot announcement (Scalped Rezurrection, maybe?) but this is just as cool. Been waiting for this for a long time.
Nice title. I briefly had the thought years ago of doing a SCALPED prequel story, but it never really went very far. I certainly wouldn't want to go past the ending of the series at all. I still feel really happy with how we wrapped things up for everybody.
You can use it if you want haha. But I can see how it wouldn't be worth it doing a continuation. A prequel could be cool though.
I love that it's finally getting an omnibus and I hope more people discover it. I'm sure the sales of the previous collections have been solid but I never felt like enough people knew about Scalped or gave it the proper respect. I would kill to see a well-made prestige TV adaptation or movie. That would really put it over the top as far as exposure.

Thanks. Might I also suggest Incident at Oglala, a documentary about Leonard Peltier from Thunderheart director Michael Apted.
Cheers man. I will look out for it.
LOVED Scalped - a hardcore crime series with a lot of heart. Would you ever do a classical western set in the 1800s?
Any news on more Goddamned? or a conclusion to Southern Bastards?
In terms of westerns, check out BRZRKR: A FACEFUL OF BULLETS coming in June.
Nothing new I can report on GD or BASTARDS yet. Believe me, once there is, I'll be screaming it from the heavens.

Loved your Action arc, very excited for your upcoming Turtles work and to dive into Once Upon... as I haven't had a chance yet!
Cheers. Thanks for reading. I'm really excited so far about how Turtles is coming together.
