May seem weird, but I found your once upon a time at the end of the world Playlist on Spotify. And it really meshes well while reading, kinda help add a layer to the story for me. I'm a huge fan of southern bastards, and I saw in an interview somewhere you mentioned listening to a lot of drive by truckers, so i started digging into them a bit and again, it adds another layer to it for me at least. But it really peaked my interest on this music and comic book relationship. So I'm very curious, as to what your Playlist look like. Are there certain bands you listen to while writing avengers? Was there a genre you listened to a lot while writing Thor? Is it different from what you listen to outside of writing? Just genuinely curious.
Not weird at all. I'm glad you found ONCE UPON A TIME AT THE END, no matter what path you took. Glad you like the Playlist. I'll be doing a new one for each volume of the series. I usually have playlists for my creator-owned books, to help me get into headspace for whatever the story is. But I don't usually do them for my Marvel stuff. And I never listen to anything while I'm actually writing. But I did have a THOR playlist that included a lot of The Sword and Amon Amarth. And I tend to listen to a little bit of everything, but mostly modern alt-country and old school classic country.
And thank you for your incredible work. You made me a Thor fan again, you made me love the Avengers again, and Southern Bastards has become something I re-read twice a year. Growing up in small town Georgia, the setting really resonates with me. I can't wait for the next issue of Once upon a time at the end of the world! And I'll be enjoying the playlist the entire time.
I love that you mentioned Willi Carlisle, he puts on a hell of a good show and is a really cool dude.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Enjoy yourself down there! No, not there, in Mexico! Well, both places!
You’ve held the torch well
You’ve held the torch fair
So here’s to a captain by the name of Aaron,
A damn good gentleman!
Happy birthday, Jason!
Happy birthday! Looking forward to new projects / next projects!
I looked up Willi & heard Tulsa's Last Magician, a beautiful & deeply sad song that really speaks to the Irish in me.
Happy Birthday!....and don’t take your eyes off that cat!
your punisher run is terrific - keep up the great work!
Thanks, and Happy Birthday, and ... yea.
